Timothy J. Flanagan is an experienced and successful academic leader. He most recently served as Chief Student Success and Academic Affairs Officer of the Colorado Department of Higher Education. During his distinguished career in higher education he has been an internationally known scholar and professor of criminology and criminal justice, dean of a large and diverse College, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs during a remarkable turn-around of a state university, and a transformative President during the most challenging years of the nation’s economic recession. In each of these posts, Flanagan has made the success of each student his and the university’s highest priority. He is a collaborative leader and a tireless advocate for access and achievement in higher education.
